Hello all,

how is everyone? I am getting ready to leave to Peru tomorrow. I will be in Peru for about 2 weeks where i will visit lima, Macchu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. But more about that when i am there.

As you may recall from my last message, i was getting ready to go to a football match of River Plate. Football is HUGE here. River Plate is the second club of Buenos Aires, the best one being Boca Juniors. However, do not tell the River plate fans i said that...

The match and the crowd were amazing. River Plate beat Arsenal (not the UK one) with 3-1 and there were 4 red cards. All in all a great experience.

The next day i took the sleep bus to Iguazu. The bus ride took 17 hours. Quite a long ride but it got me to Iguazu. That afternoon i was taken to the Brasilian side of the Iguazu Water fall. It is not the biggist in the world, but the scenery there is amazing, it is situated in a rain forest. The sound of the waterfalls is very impressive also. I will try to post some pictures so you can get an idea.

The next day i took an excursion to the Wanda Mine. this is a mine where they find several stones such as emeralds, amethists and crystals. They make jewellery out of them. In he afternoon we went to Jezuite ruins in Santa In the south of tme province. Impressive to see the way they made the buildings and the structures.

The next day i went to the Argentinian side of the waterfall. They have 3 levels of walks to the waterfall bringing you to the waterfall at different heights. This is very impressive. To top it off I did the Granda Aventua. This means thAt you get into a boat and they take you into the mouth of the waterfalls. The best part is that they go under a waterfall so that you get soaked by the waterfall. A very cool experience, although the postcards in my pocket had to be dried before i could send them off :).

In the afternoon it was back on the bus to Buenos Aires.

When i got back to Buenos Aires i contacted Erica Wolman, a dentist i met in Pink house in Sydney. She was in Sydney to visit her boyfriend and explore the possibility of becoming a dentist in Australia. She will have to take 3 exams and then her diploma qualifies. So she is working on that now. She took me to an illegal restaurant with some friends of hers. That was a surprising experience. We had a great meal at a very reasonable price. After that she and her friends gave me a taste of Buenos Aires´ nigthlife. Nice to see, but it starts very late for this old man :).

Well that brings you up to speed with what i am doing at the moment.

I will write my next message from Peru.

Bye all!

Philip
