Hello everyone,
I am reporting on my fifth and sixt day in Thailand.
The fifth day was spent taking a cycling tour through the old part of Bangkok. Very narrrow streets, with lots of little shops and a stop here and there for a few pictures and little snacks like fried bananas and rice cookies. All very enjoyable. The second half of the tour led through an area on the other side of the river Chau Praya. This area is more rugged and only permits housing for a limited amount of people. Infrastructure is limited to paths of roughly a meter wide. At times this is tricky on the bikes. One person fell into the water half way the tour. Fortunately, she was not seriously injured and the locals quicly aided her, by cleaning her up, letting her shower and cleaning her bike. Very friendly!
We had a lunch at the Chao Praya Hard rock Cafe (i will include the picture soon. It is the only hard rock cafe without a t-shirt shop.
Today I went to see the Bang Kwan Central prison, situated in Nonthaburi in the north of Bangkok. I wanted to see the prison and take a picture for my blog. The latter was not a very good idea. I took the picture which drew the attention of the guards. The demanded me over, took me into an office and made me erase the pictures. Apperently, it is illegal to take pictures of a prison in Thailand. After erasing the pictures of the prison i left in a hurry with my tail between my legs. That was a very scary moment, as they do not kid around in the Thai prisons. Fortunately, i am happily back at the Heritage hotel.
Tomorrow i am going to try and re arrange my flights to Australia. It makes much more sense to fly to Perth and make my way to Sydney than to cover the same ground 3 times. Hopefully, this will work. I will let you know.

Ook ik kom er net achter dat ik je kan volgen. Thanks to Alex. Heb mn emailadres al aangemeld zodat ik elk berichtje (in het engels (met woordenboek) kan volgen. Tot nu tot klinkt het allemaal super en ik ben echt wel jaloers op je. Ook nog een oude bekende op 1 van je foto;s gezien...lachen hoor.
